Attained BA in Scientific and Technical Graphics, which I also lectured in, for 3 yrs post qualification. A part time job at that time lead to a complete change, and a long career in Veterinary Nursing. A move back to Wales, setting up training within practice, and gaining RVN qualification. My passion to improve practice standards included a short period of lecturing in Animal Care and Veterinary Nursing at Pencoed College. 2008 brought a key role in the merger of 3 vet practices into CVC Veterinary Hospital. Skills include team leading, financial and rota administration, managing computer networks, software packages and other technical responsibilities. A change of pace, with a move to Tysul Vets 2013. Head Nurse, responsible for the nursing team, clinical coach, and team liaison. A career hiatus due to increased caring responsibilities in 2017.I now work as a part-time Seasonal Advisor for B&Q, which is a great place to work. Developing career proficiencies , with an ILM course in Leadership and Team work skills, with Chwarae Teg in 2019.Big charity walk challenges are my passion. Completing Dartmoor in a Day 2019. I am organising a 34 day charity walk, Camino de Santiago, in Sept 2021, 500+ miles.
