I teach youth & adults in higher education to prepare for successful careers in communication arts, entertainment and design. Through strong programming and community partnerships our certificate program and Associates Degree technical tracks, prepare students to find successful career opportunities or transfer to four year university courses in their field. I am the resident Costume Designer for our department, and also lead our costume shop build with our student crew. I teach a full course load in courses for Costume Design, Stage Makeup Design, As well as general education courses in Theatre for our majors and non- majors. I advise students in their chosen concentration and career pathways. I have developed strong relationships and partnerships within our division and also our local community to help grow our programs.

I have been a part of The Yoga Effect Community since its founding in 2010. As a student, then a teacher in 2016 and now as a Co-Owner. I see my role as one of nurturing our community; our students, our teachers and providing a safe place where everyone can come as they are and learn how to be fully present in this complicated world. Through strong local partnerships, our studio supports and empowers our broader community as well. In partnership with TBY Yoga, I am the co-teacher for our teacher training programs including 200 hr certifications and continuing education.

The You Belong Campaign advocates for marginalized groups in communities throughout the US. As Board President, I help lead our volunteer board to grow our organization through grassroots community engagement, and building local chapters nationwide.

The Grayslake Performing Arts Collaborative supports our local Arts community by bringing people together; we connect people, institutions and organizations to create unique performance experiences within our community. Recents Projects include Voices of Lake County and Grayslake Youth Theatre.

I collaborated with retail partners and cross functional teams to lead the client experience in high end home furnishings and interior design. In partnership with key stakeholders, I developed business through strong community partnerships and internal business strategy.

I lead retail teams in the Midwest Region to grow their business. Over the course of my tenure, we acquired franchised locations and consolidated business to streamline corporate operations and brand recognition. I lead merchandising teams and interior design project managers to provide our clients with the high end and luxury experience synonymous with our brand. I also lead retail analysis for our district and collaborated with retail partners and leadership in order to provide the tools and training for our interior design consultants to succeed. We developed strong community partnerships with local businesses and organizations to further career opportunities, programming and trade partnerships.

I provided high end residential interior design consultation to clients in the Chicago and surrounding areas. I grew my business to 1 million dollars annually.
