I was made redundant by Burberry in August 2016 and was approached by an ex-Burberry Senior VP about an EA role in private equity. I met with the COO & Partner and received an offer the same day. Despite initial trepidation, I accepted. My role at BC Partners is two-fold. Firstly, a traditional EA role where I manage a complex and everchanging diary, managing a very busy email inbox replying/delegating where necessary, travel plans and expenses. I also manage senior level Committee meetings, Board meetings and Partner meetings, preparing agendas, minutes and action points and follow-ups. Secondly an HR Manager/HR Admin role for the London office responsible for payroll, pension, benefits, recruitment and performance management.
Recognition Manager
I designed and managed the Burberry Employee Reward and Recognition Programmes and Health and Well-being initiatives. I was responsible for the overall project and communication plans, event management, budget, health & safety, risk & insurance, employee engagement/feedback, terms and conditions, translations and reporting. I partnered closely with the global HR, Internal Communications, Legal, Marketing & PR and Retail teams. Responsibilities also included quarterly global Retail incentives, the Burberry Long Service Awards and annual peer to peer recognition awards and events.
