I am a freelance translator and proofreader, specializing in biological and environmental sciences, agriculture and development. I have experience translating diverse publication types, including scientific papers; funding proposals, technical documents as well as website and social media content. Clients include international cooperation organizations, NGOs, universities, agricultural and pharmaceutical companies. I have also been entrusted with revising the translations of some important publications for United Nations.I also work as a freelance language consultant revising English manuscripts written by non-native speakers and helping non-native academics and professionals prepare for international conferences and presentations.

As part of a multidisciplinary team at a Chilean NGO dedicated to local sustainable development projects I took part in several projects in various roles. As Project Leader (2006-2008), I lead the planning and implementation of a project to empower three indigenous communities in the south of Chile. I wrote (successful) funding proposals and project reports and was responsible for communicating with donors. I also supported several other projects in various roles including coordinating stakeholder interviews, organizing events, facilitating workshops, compiling and synthesizing information from published literature and historical documents.
