I purchased my farm in dec. of 1981 but did many other things to survive over the years. I was injured at the dairy and disabled for many years and many years later, when feeling better again, I worked for Golden Gem where I fell down wet steps and ruptured a disc in my back :-(I have been totally disabled for all the years since but the feed store was very kind to me and made my job easy until I was not let back to my job after a personal, medical leave of absence. I have been totally disabled ever since. i take comfort in my chickens mostly
