Project Administrator for an exciting and innovative new project in West Mercia which provides a range of support services for victims of road crashes in West Mercia.

• Promoted and managed the work of Carers’ Hub Lambeth within the Independent Living and Carers’ Partnership (ILCP)• Attended ILCP management meetings, South Thames Crossroads management meetings and Service Delivery Sub-Committee meetings.• Line managed and supervised the Young Carers’ Project Leader, the Older Carers’ Peer Support Project Leader and the two Advice, Support and Development Workers.• Responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the Carers’ Hub budget and for budget planning for the Hub as a whole as well as for the Young Carers’ and Older Carers’ Peer Support Projects.• Worked with health and social services and the voluntary sector to promote awareness of carers’ issues in the community.• Ensured that service provision was of a consistently high standard, achieved agreed outcomes and objectives and was robustly monitored and evaluated

• Managed the work of a team of social workers, family support workers and therapists undertaking child in need, child protection cases and cases in court proceedings. • Provided regular supervision to the above workers including live supervision, continuing learning and development and performance appraisal.• Chaired child in need meetings and reviews • Initiated child protection investigations when there were serious child protection concerns and chaired strategy meetings.• Attended child protection case conferences, adoption and fostering panel, court and other relevant meetings

• Developed, set up and managed an innovative new outreach service for disabled children and young people and their families • Expanded the Contact Service and managed the service on an interim basis• Created a new file audit system and audited the centre’s family files in preparation for an unannounced Ofsted inspection • Facilitated the development of a comprehensive team plan for the centre.

• Family Centre Worker: undertook child and family assessments, including comprehensive assessments for Court and intervention purposes • Senior Practitioner: held a small caseload and provided supervision to family centre workers • Acted up as Deputy Manager on two occasions (March - December 1999 and January - August 2004 ) • Set up and co-ordinated a specialist contact service (October 2005 – January 2007)
