Provide general counsel on all aspects of labor and employment law for S&P Fortune 500 company, partnering with all business units in Company: 100 + locations in 18 states, including CA, and over 50 countries. Drive collaborative, cross-functional North, South, and Central Americas teams across matrix organization for M&A; advise on & implement corporate initiatives and projects; develop & deliver employee training; ensure compliance with new local & country legislation. Oversee in-house handling of agency charges, investigations, and audits and use of outside counsel for L&E litigation.

Responsible for all domestic and international labor and employment issues, including employee discipline, grievances, due process hearings, termination, EEO, wage and hour, discrimination, leaves of absence, disability, WARN, & union avoidance, for global provider of outsourced customer management and business process outsourcing solutions operating in 8 countries, including Argentina, Canada, Philippines & the U.K. Draft employment policies, handbooks, & employment & separation agreements; advise & structure RIF's; conduct employee training, including harassment avoidance training.Oversee all outside litigation. Reduced corporate legal costs through careful selection, use and monitoring of outside counsel & reduction of number of employee claims. Represent company in federal, state, and provincial agencies, courts and tribunals. Review & negotiate employment & privacy & data security provisions in contracts with vendors.
