Medical Assistant
Current- Clean the exam rooms between patients and anticipate the needs of the provider based on patient chief complaints and have supplies ready.- Take vitals including blood pressure, pulse rate, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation; and recording height and weight- Conduct visual acuity testing, EKG, urine dipstick, rapid strep, throat culture and wound culture.- Perform phlebotomy and process lab specimens such as swabs, blood tests and cultures - Administer oral (PO), intramuscular (IM), subcutaneous (SQ), and intradermal (ID) medication and vaccines under the direct supervision of the medical provider.- Assist the front desk staff by answering telephones, greeting patients, scheduling referral appointments, filing paperwork and updating medical records.
