My duties as a Project Coordinator include the day to day running of projects that are taking place out in the workshop (fabrication and assembly work). I have worked on the following kind of projects; ToreOVD’s, Pipework, quick turnaround pup joints, Mud Manifolds, Choke and Kill Manifolds, Kenics Mixers and Agitators.Communication with clients is one of my main responsibilities to ensure they are kept up to date and in the loop with the progress of their projects. Setting up meetings and requesting the attendance of their inspectors to witness testing of different aspects of the projects such as FAT.Also, being involved out in the workshop is a priority to ensure that the correct information is being passed onto the workers and ensure that they understand what is required within the fabrication / assembly of the projects. Ensuring the information that is in the work packs is also up to date and correct. Completing work orders for projects is another duty, as this is what the work shop use to carry out their responsibilities. We used a computer system called JD Edwards, within the system we can see what material we have in stock and if we needed to order any more, which projects have work order completed and the status of the jobs. It is also helpful for checking PO’s that have been placed on materials and checking delivery dates.

My duties as Project Assistant for NOV included the control of all documentation for ongoing projects within manufacturing process. This included ensuring that all documentation and drawings are up to date, transmitted to the shop floor and filed correctly.My duties also included ensuring that the Project Data Books are completed with all correct certification and information there in and at the completion of the project, compiling PDF copies and hard copies to send to the various clients.

My duties as the sole Document Controller for Mechserv included the control of all documentation for all ongoing projects within the company. This includes ensuring that all documentation and drawings are up to date and filed correctly.A part of my role was to produce the equipment data sheets on the completion of each project, using the documentation which has been generated throughout the life cycle of the project. e.g. Batch Mixers, Zone II Generators, Pumping Units, this includes details of the various components, standards and certification.
