My career has spanned a range of financial services but, most particularly, superannuation and financial advice. The operational aspects of my roles have allowed me to demonstrate and build on my strengths as a process and detailed-oriented person who has a strong compliance focus, and I have had many years’ experience managing change and supporting my teams in a time of disruption, uncertainty and increased pressure.I strongly believe in the value of financial advice. As a profession, we have the ability make a positive difference to the lives of our clients, and the relationships we have with each of them, as individuals, allows us the capacity to have a motivating influence over the long term. It is a privilege to be allowed to be a part of someone’s life in that way.The retirement outcomes of Australians is a particular interest of mine – superannuation, together with sound financial advice, is key to a comfortable retirement. What makes a financial planner’s job so interesting is that “comfortable” means something different to each of us.
