My name is Sally Osterberg and I am currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film, Screen and New Media) at the Queensland University of Technology. I am also a recent graduate of the University of Queensland, having studied Arts and Communication. Throughout my degree, I became proficient in public speaking, working effectively in groups, and presenting my ideas analytically. I have also developed effective interpersonal skills, conflict resolution and customer relations skills during my years working in retail and through my volunteer work.My key skills and strengths are as follows:• Excellent oral communication and confident public speaking skills developed throughout my university degree by presenting my ideas and arguments to my colleagues and professors. • Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and able to work well under pressure from my years spent working in retail while studying full-time. • Strong understanding of social media learned throughout my Public Relations major at university and also being required to post content at my previous retail job. • Highly experienced in customer service, as well as negotiation and conflict resolution, which I was able to learn primarily through working in retail during extremely busy holiday periods.• Organised and enthusiastic in group work due to many university assignments being group presentations and projects.• Technically proficient in Microsoft XP (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop. My university degree required me to use these programs for assignments, such as creating a website or curating an online exhibition.
