Midas Mouldings has been finishing picture frame moulding for over 40 years. 18 months ago due to staffing changes I took on the role of production manager, planning and buying in profiled timber ready for the factory to finish, never having had this type of role previously it was a bit daunting and a challenge but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. The role also meant close monitoring of stock levels, ensuring production of popular mouldings were always planned to keep that product in stock. The last 6 months I have been general manager too, taking over from my predecessor in the running of the factory as a whole. It’s been a challenging time, but that’s what I enjoy. A challenge. No one wants a boring job, we all want something that taxes our brains and pushes us to find out what we can achieve.
