I teach Level 1 & 2 Hair and Beauty. This is to pre and post students. The post 16 students are on a pre-apprenticeships where they are gaining not just a qualification but the skills and knowledge to work in the hair and beauty industry. I regularly invite in key players from the industry to give talks to the students as well as organizing trips to out to industry. As part of my role i set up the new hair and beauty salon at K2 as well as designing the academic courses that underpin the qualifications that I deliver.
