I started my career knowing that I wanted to make a difference, as cliché as that may sound. I focused my undergraduate studies on criminal law and earned a Bachelors of Science in Criminology, Forensics Behavioral Science from California State University, Fresno. I have always loved to write, and in law school I wrote for the San Joaquin Agricultural Law Review and was Editor-in-Chief my last year. I believe it is important to critically assess the criminal justice system and to strive to find a more efficient and just means by which to achieve the desired result. As a practicing attorney I use my writing skills for motions and appellate work and I am always seeking new and novel issues of law to research and utilize in my work. I started my legal career at a local, well-respected criminal defense law firm. After nearly five years working with some of Fresno's most experienced criminal defense attorneys I felt it was time to open my own law firm, Proper Defense Law Corporation focused on juvenile and criminal defense. I am eager to represent clients at all stages of criminal proceedings whether wrongly accused, overcharged, or unjustly convicted. I will stand in court beside a person, as they find themselves at the mercy of the judicial system, frightened and confused.
