The Thoughtful Pet Food Store is an online pet retailer specialising in natural pet food and products. It also provides information to pet owners in the form of researched blog posts, as well as a tailored advice service. I was originally hired as an Assistant Manager to support the existing team as the company grew. This was predominantly admin and stock intake work. When the opportunity to take on the role of a Managing Director appeared, I was the primary candidate and was offered the position. I am now the sole Managing Director of the company.My primary roles in the company are:- Managing stock levels and liaising with suppliers. - Answering customer enquiries and providing pet nutrition and product advice.- Processing customer orders and ensuring all parcels are packed well.- Writing informative articles and blog posts to be published on our website.- Overseeing the day to day runnings of the company.

As a shop floor assistant I was expected to work to a high standard in line with the company's ethos. The company provided extensive training in all manners of pet care with a focus on domestic pet nutrition. Customer service skills were paramount to my role in the company as a majority of my time was spent working with and advising customers.
