As a PTA, my role is to assist the physiotherapist to efficiently see all the patients on a priority basis. After the physiotherapist has delegated the patients to me, I am to work independently with them on bed exercises, ambulation, review hip precautions.

My role as a PTA is to assist the physiotherapist to ambulate the residents each day to maintain their cardiovascular and pulmonary function. Also ensuring the residents are doing their daily exercises as prescribed by the therapist to maintain.

Immunohistochemistry lab work, focusing on ovarian cancer, and breast cancer research. Build tissue microarray (TMA). Prepare samples onto glassed slides from paraffin fixed tissue blocks. Scan requested slides onto computer by using digital scanner.
