Spearheaded the capital fundraising, construction and launch of Think Wild, a 501(c)3 non-profit wildlife conservation center in Bend, OR, which now provides wildlife rescue, education, conservation, and habitat restoration services to five counties in Central and Eastern Oregon. She leads operations, fundraising, finance, community outreach, education, conservation, and key relationship and partnership initiatives for Think Wild.

I am responsible for all media relations, communications and authoring all owned media. Projects include press releases, blog posts, social media content, website content, the media kit, annual report, monthly e-newsletter and other materials as needed. I supervise the Graphic Design and Marketing Coordinator and manage media events, the Aquarium's photo/video library, and print and digital communications. I support the Director of Marketing in developing and managing external partnerships, participating in strategic brainstorming and contributing to various marketing projects.

- Recipient of the Outstanding Oregon Social Media Award for best social media in Oregon at the 2017 Oregon Travel and Tourism Industry Achievement Awards- I work with the marketing team to actively convey the Aquarium’s message to the general public through multiple media channels- I am responsible for all media relations and authoring all owned media. Projects include press releases, blog posts, social media posts, website content, the media kit, annual report, monthly e-newsletter, production of the organization's bi-annual member magazine, and member mailings- I create and manage media events, organize and contribute to the Aquarium's photo library, manage online event calendar listings, and participate in strategic brainstorming and administrative tasks

I tutored high school students for the SAT, ACT and the SAT Biology Subject Test and provided mentorship for college applications and entrance exams. This required a 90th percentile score and ongoing professional development.

I created and conducted tours and information sessions to educate visitors about research at the lab, local avian ecology and conservation, and other relevant ecological topics. I also managed visitor center resources, such as binoculars, field guides, and educational materials, conducted membership sales, maintained exhibit equipment, and coordinated special events. During my first year at the lab, I was selected as one of a few undergraduates to present to the board of directors about my experiences and education in Biological Sciences at Cornell.

Department Of Entomology At Cornell University

The McArt Lab studies pathogen transmission among pollinators and the influence of pesticide and pathogen interaction on pollinator health. For my Senior Honors Thesis, I analyzed the relationship between pollinator functional traits and associated pathogen prevalence, which involved field survey, insect collection, insect dissection, molecular analysis (DNA extraction, PCR, Gel electrophoresis), literature review, R statistical analysis, and technical writing. I am currently in the stage of further preparing the thesis for publication. Additionally, I contributed to lab outreach through volunteering at Insectapalooza, where we educate 3,000 visitors on pollinator conservation strategies.

I identified mammal and bird species found in images collected during camera trap studies in New York State.

Region Vii - Central Visayas, Philippines

I researched cetacean ecology and population dynamics in the most comprehensive cetacean project ever conducted in the Philippines. I conducted socio-ecological, spatial, and population analyses to integrate cetaceans into the Philippines General Management Plan for the Tañon Strait Protected Seascape and collected photo-ID and behavioral data, measured and recorded environmental parameters with GPS for GIS analysis, navigated research vessel to target areas to achieve maximum surveillance coverage, and utilized DISCOVERY software for data consolidation. Cincinnati Area, Ky

I developed and analyzed sustainability initiatives for pulp and paper supply chain operations in a comprehensive competitive intelligence report, which I then presented to both the Department of Environmental Safety and Sustainability and Family Care Consumer Paper Products Department. I also collaborated with Consumer Research and Marketing Departments to develop and substantiate sustainability claims for the Family Care brand web page. Additionally, I managed the development and completion of a tiered water risk assessment for all Family Care sites across the United States in order to conserve resources and optimize manufacturing efficiency.

Cornell University

I managed and planned PDP 2014, a 3-week intensive graduate course for hospitality professionals offered by the Executive Education Office of the School of Hotel Administration. I provided service for over 200 international professionals, arranged and budgeted for a trip to Niagara Falls, coordinated photography, planned and directed transportation, prepared and organized course-materials, and assisted professors in their respective classes during this internship.

Costa Rica

I developed and promoted the lodge's online and international presence by initiating online sales, educating staff on various social media outlets, setting up travel website accounts, and creating a video advertisement.
