For my Senior Honors Thesis, I analyzed the relationship between pollinator functional traits and associated pathogen prevalence, which involved field survey, insect collection, insect dissection, molecular analysis (DNA extraction, PCR, Gel electrophoresis), literature review, R statistical analysis, and technical writing. I am currently in the stage of further preparing the thesis for publication. Additionally, I contributed to lab outreach through volunteering at Insectapalooza, where we educate 3,000 visitors on pollinator conservation strategies.

I researched cetacean ecology and population dynamics in the most comprehensive cetacean project ever conducted in the Philippines. I conducted socio-ecological, spatial, and population analyses to integrate cetaceans into the Philippines General Management Plan for the Tañon Strait Protected Seascape and collected photo-ID and behavioral data, measured and recorded environmental parameters with GPS for GIS analysis, navigated research vessel to target areas to achieve maximum surveillance coverage, and utilized DISCOVERY software for data consolidation. I developed and analyzed sustainability initiatives for pulp and paper supply chain operations in a comprehensive competitive intelligence report, which I then presented to both the Department of Environmental Safety and Sustainability and Family Care Consumer Paper Products Department.
