Whilst working at Kazak I saw a “gap” in the marketplace – designers with computer graphic design abilities, so when I was retrenched I began working as a freelance graphic artist for the clothing industry.Clients included BMG, TFG, Planet X & Kazak.I was involved with Admit One, a headwear supplier to chain stores – doing artworks for new styles booked, for buyer approval & placing of orders in China. Artistic license often given in developing new badges, swingtickets & generic branding.I worked with an interior designer on a few projects, including a hotel logo & a small range of men's shirts.I worked with a young designer who has a range at the YDE, designing menswear T-shirt placement prints & new logos for labelling.I worked on contract for the then owner of the SA Rugby 2nd tier licence as designer & merchandiser, styling ranges for chain stores, as well as liaising with buyers & suppliers in UK, China & Cape Town.
