Sally Erickson believes that a person's economic or educational background should not determine the quality of a person's mental health. Erickson is a counselor at Serenity Center in Altamonte Springs, Florida. As a licensed mental health counselor and a certified addictions counselor, Erickson executes her talents by providing personal enrichment and training workshops. Her workshops deal with stress management, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Some of the topics that Erickson's groups focus on are enhancing communication skills, setting and maintaining healthy boundaries, and conflict resolution. Counselor Sally Erickson has been in private practice for over 15 years, and she has provided a wide range of mental health services from individuals, couples, to group counseling. Since 1990, Erickson has interacted with groups as large as 16 clients at a minimum of one group per week. Sally Erickson earned her B.A. degree in organizational management, Summa Cum Laude, in 1995, at Warner Southern College. Erickson continued her education by obtaining a Master’s degree in community counseling from Rollins College, where she graduated with honors in 2000. After graduate school Erickson completed an important internship at a community mental health agency. During this time, Erickson created and applied a multitude of groups which ranged from women issues to anger management. To bring mental clarity into her everyday life, Erickson enjoys activities such as reading, Chinese brush painting, walking and yoga. Erickson's dedication to mental health extends deeply into her involvement with the Mental Health Counselors of Central Florida and the American Counseling Association.
