I am the founder of Gibson Governance Pty Ltd, an advisory firm focused on legal consulting and governance advisory services. Gibson Governance partners with its clients to develop and implement good governance practices in the investment management/ private funds space. As a partner of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, my practice focused on advising sponsors of private investment funds, including buyout, real estate, infrastructure, venture capital and secondaries funds. Gibson Governance harnesses this experience, built over more than 13 years working in London and New York, to bring an innovative perspective to its clients.   For family reasons, I retired as a Debevoise partner and returned to my native Australia. I established Gibson Governance in Grafton (regional New South Wales).  My aim is to support the Northern Rivers and, ultimately, to build a different type of professional services firm that is part of my local community. I’m proud to be a non-executive director of Summerland Credit Union, a customer-owned financial institution headquartered in the Northern Rivers of NSW.
