I have always had a passion for helping people and a passion for numbers, so entering the Accounting profession was an easy decision for me.I get a buzz from working with business owners because I enjoy discovering the reason why people got into business in the first place, what their ambitions are for the future, and then helping them realise their goals. There is nothing more satisfying in my job than seeing someone succeed in their business, especially when I have been a part of that process and have seen the change taking place.Being a female in business with three children I can relate to women who want a career as well as a family. Getting the balance right can be tricky but in today’s world it is achievable (although sometimes exhausting). One of the many reasons people go into business in the first place is due to family in one way or another. This was another reason why I chose the Accounting profession. Many of us have to balance our business goals with our personal goals and I can relate to this first hand.My other passion is my running. It’s a chance to switch off after a busy day in the office; or take time out on a Saturday morning before the weekend begins. Taking in the beautiful English countryside as I run is very therapeutic. I am proud to be able to say I have run the London Marathon and it’s an experience I would like to repeat: it was truly amazing and the atmosphere was terrific. I think I ran the entire distance with a big grin on my face! My running not only keeps me fit and healthy: it also makes me feel energetic and ready for anything.
