As the Commercial Director at ChargeBox, I manage the Finance, Operations and HR functions within the business, whilst working closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure that we implement the best growth strategy for the business.At ChargeBox, we are the leading provider of smart charging services, with over 10 years experience and 20 million devices charges worldwide. As Financial Controller at ChargeBox, I was responsible for the management of the finance & payroll function within the business. I managed all elements of financial planning and forecasting, as well as stock management, procurement and strategic planning. I was responsible for all management and year-end accounts preparation and reported regularly to the Board of Directors.

Following a 10 year career in retail merchandising, buying & business planning, I completed a home-study diploma in Advanced Book-keeping & Accounting while on maternity leave. On completion of the diploma in 2009, and as a member of the AIAB, I set up Hunter Accounting and worked for myself for 4 years. I provided book-keeping services, management reporting, ad-hoc analysis and cash flow forecasting, helping small businesses manage their cash & become profitable. I also worked closely with a number of retail fashion start-ups including Chinti & Parker and Sunuva, providing finance and merchandising support with a focus on establishing business growth, cash flow & profit planning.

Senior Merchandiser (Maternity Cover): Boyswear/Baby Boys Responsible for the sales, profit, stock & space planning of two key departments, working closely with the buying & design teams, as well as the franchise teams, ensuring targets were met, stock & OTB was managed effectively and markdown activity was successful in ensuring stock turned & cleared effectively. Coaching & developing junior members of the team was an integral part of the role.

During my time at Etam I worked as a Senior Merchandiser for casual wear, which represented a significant proportion of the Womenswear annual turnover, as well as for Etam Plus, a stand alone, high profile department within the Etam Brand catering for plus size customers. Both departments were significant sales & profit generators for the business and I worked side by side with the buying & design teams to deliver profitable product ranges over many seasons. During 2000-2001 when the business was bought by Etam France, I worked as Buyer for the casualwear department, working alongside my French colleagues spending half the week in Paris and half in the UK. Both the buying & merchandising teams collaborated to deliver a cohesive & profitable range across the two countries, sharing systems, stock, suppliers & processes, providing me with a valuable insight into company mergers, as well as a fantastic opportunity to travel & to raise my profile in the wider business.
