I love my life! It has been an enriching adventure - even though the road has not always been the smoothest and has had more than one unexpected detour! Treasure House Fashions, the nonprofit I founded in 2000, continues to be my passion and it has grown beyond all I could think or imagine (and I have a very active imagination!!). I have a very specific punch list to accomplish in this organization before I move on to my succession plan. Meanwhile I am ramping up my speaking engagements and increasing my traveling itinerary with family and friends! The adventure continues...

We distribute gift certificates for our clothing through partner agencies addressing challenges: homelessness, addiction, incarceration, unwed mothers, domestic violence and trafficking, military women, cancer and health issues, unemployment, natural disasters such as flood or fire, and poverty. In all these situations women need appropriate clothing, but the underlying issue is a bruised sense of worth. Treasure House Fashions provides the tangible resource of clothing in an encouraging and affirming atmosphere, upholding our mission of "promoting the dignity and self-esteem of women, particularly women in transition or crisis. Outward appearance is not an accurate reflection of your worth, but it can affirm the treasure that you truly are."Treasure House Fashions is run by tenderhearted volunteers who "affirm the treasure" within every woman who graces their doors! You can shop here, too, and support our mission in this meticulously maintained boutique-style store, finding notable brand name fashions at deeply discounted prices - a boost to any budget. Single Moms, Sassy Seniors (55+), Military Women/First Responders, and Teachers/Students receive HALF OFF every day. Local women graciously donate clothing that doesn't fit their bodies or their lifestyle, supplying a wide variety of categories (casual, business, Women's, Petite, Sleepwear, Sportswear, After-Five, Outerwear, Shoes, Accessories) and sizes (0 to 4X). We’re a conduit for women helping women - volunteering, donating, serving, encouraging - shopping together!! Your fashion "treasure hunting" enables us to touch the lives of women in transition and crisis! Clothing, however, is our means, not our mission; our heart is to affirm the worth of women on challenging journeys. We simply use the magic of “retail therapy” as a healing balm on bruised souls!
