I wanted to include this volunteer role as I have gained so much from it. I take my responsibilities very seriously and am committed to continual improvement. My three main roles are Vice-chair of the governing board, vice-chair of the curriculum committee and safeguarding governor.

I left this position after I had my second child in order to become a full time parent.

I had previously worked at the Cedar Antique Centre while I was at university and had remained in contact with the centre owners. When they found out I had sold the restaurant, they offered me a part time role while I was working out in which professional direction I wanted to take.

After I finished university, my dad and I decided to go into business together so looked for a small hotel, bed and breakfast or restaurant that we could improve and sell on for profit when the time was right. This restaurant was set in a beautiful 18th century malthouse and was used as a wedding venue as well as a restaurant. This meant that I worked as a wedding coordinator, restaurant manager and front of house manager.
