About Sally Peace

It is always possible.” Dalia LamaHaving worked in Legacy and In Memory Giving across numerous causes I understand the motivations and sensitivities that surround giving in this way. The legacy world has never been more exciting than right now and the Chinese proverb that comes to mind of ‘The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now” , well the same can be send for inspiring legacy gifts.The desire to leave a gift in a Will or to donate in memory and raise funds for a specific cause is a big decision, with many motivations, be that wanting to make a difference, or to feel connected, or show to others what’s important to you as a person. I find these motivations fascinating and by being so interested in supporters behaviours I have been able to create many engaging, motivating and hugely successful campaigns. These campaigns have included multi location In Memory Events, Press ads, DRTV, Direct Mail, to both warm and cold audiences. I have also developed successful Stewardship Journeys for In Memory and Legacy Supporters which resulted in an increase in average donations, retention and second gifts. Through legacy giving I can help secure the future of a charity and it’s beneficiaries for generations to come. That’s both exciting and worthwhile….not everyone can say that about their job! As a manager I am supportive and encouraging. I have an approachable manner and enjoy seeing a team working collaboratively together and bringing the best out in each other.I am adaptable and flexible which has proved prudent in any fixed term roles I have undertaken, and I find it very natural to slot in to any new team.
