The Hunter Identity & Positioning project is being driven by the HRFC (as part of the University of Newcastle) to engage broadly and develop the unique identity of the Hunter region, and ways to position our region in relation to tourism, investment and business attraction. As a member of the project team I have undertaken a literature review of key strategies across a range of Hunter organisations, and have played a role in workshops with key regional stakeholders in an effort to define the project and develop a brief for the larger piece of work to follow. This is an exciting project to be involved in, and has given me great insight into the fantastic work of so many organisations across the region, and the bright minds leading their efforts.

I’ve had the pleasure of evolving my career and my experience through a range of roles since joining AECOM in Sydney in 2010. My latest role saw me lead the marketing and client strategy team within the Hunter business as member of the local leadership team. This incorporated development and execution of our marketing strategy, overseeing our Client Account Management (CAM) program, overseeing our local Client Insights program, and oversight of our bids and pursuits strategy and resourcing. Beyond my marketing and people management responsibilities I supported the growth and efficiency of our regional business through business improvement and business planning initiatives. I’m passionate about the Newcastle region and our future success – I regularly represented AECOM at local business forums including a role on the Hunter Business Chamber’s Regional Infrastructure Committee, and I co-founded a Newcastle based networking group for women working in the infrastructure space. I was the moderator for AECOM’s Hunter mCircles peer development group, bringing together female professionals across our local business for peer to peer mentoring and professional development.

Curtins Consulting is one of the UK's largest independently owned structural and civil engineering consultancy firms. During my time in the UK I established a successful new approach to coordinating and managing all outgoing bids and tenders, including identification and tracking of project opportunities, leading to a steady increase in win rates across our teams.I was also part of focus groups rolling our several new initiatives including a new approach to client relationship management (supported by implementation of Microsoft CRM).

Interwoven provide a range of IT solutions to companies across the world in the realms of Document Management, Digital Asset Management and Web Solutions. My primary responsibility was the management of our event series including multi-state road shows, workshops, user groups, and press launches in accordance with our strategic marketing plan, budgets and lead targets - spanning events in both Australia and New Zealand.

Iskander Racing is part of the Alexanders group, which I was employed by for five years, and are involved in racing, breeding and syndicating of thoroughbred racehorses in Australasia. Reporting to the Managing Director, I led the development and implementation of a range of integrated marketing campaigns for the launches of stallions incorporating television and radio advertising, email marketing, trade and mainstream media, direct mail and events management. I also co-ordinated the design and maintenance of three company websites including regular analytics reporting.
