Whilst serving in the Royal Navy for 12 years I worked in a variety of customer facing administrative roles throughout the UK, at sea and in Afghanistan. My duties included providing administrative support to senior officers as well as diary management for the Chief of Staff in the Regional Command Headquarters in Helmand Province. Throughout my time in the Navy I was responsible for maintaining and establishing accurate filing systems, auditing travel and subsistence claims, taking telephone queries, switchboard management, updating and maintaining personal records, data entry, co-ordinating incoming and outgoing correspondence in a timely manner, developing and maintaining relationships with other arms of both the UK and international Armed Forces, outer office management including stationary orders, supervision of the more junior Logisticians as well as providing continuation training.
