Sally Strachey Historic Conservation are award-winning, ICON-accredited specialists in the conservation of historic buildings, monuments and sculpture. Our experience spans over 30 years and we have worked on a wide range of churches and historic sites, providing a full service from technical and feasibility studies, through to execution on site by our highly-skilled team of masons, carvers, conservators, archaeologists and rope access team. Sally Strachey was a founding director of Nimbus Conservation Ltd( 1984 to 1996) and a partner in the award winning conservation practice, Strachey and Strachey (1996 to 2010). Sally is a registered HLF Mentor.

Nimbus Conservation and Restoration Group was orignally set up in 1982 as a group of artists, craftsman and academics with a training in the conservation of sculpture, architectural stonework and historic plaster. The group developed into the leading conservation practice, Nimbus Conservation Ltd. Our main operating principles were to preserve entirely any original fabric. Where this was not possible, due to structural or other reasons, we made every effort to fully research and document any existing carving, moulding, mortar and paint before embarking on a course of restoration. The group also undertook the design and execution of new sculpture commissions.
