Sally Unsworth is the Cultural Affairs Manager for the City of Culver City, CA. She recently served as the Manager for Arts and Culture for the Township of Maplewood, NJ. In 2021-2022, Sally helped to launch the Neighborhood Preservation Program (NPP) in the Seton Village district of South Orange, NJ. Sally was the first executive director for the Association of Art Museum Curators where she worked for nearly a decade including helping to launch and grow the Center for Curatorial Leadership. She was deputy director for the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art (MoCADA), a visual arts space in Brooklyn, NY, and program director for Learning Through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP) at P.S. 163 in Manhattan. Sally is a past president of ArtTable (2013-2015), a professional arts organization with a mission to support the advancement of women in arts leadership positions.Additionally, Sally serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). She is an active volunteer for a number of causes with a focus on community organizing, arts advocacy, and diversity, equity and inclusion in education.
