Starting as Marketing Assistant after leaving University I migrated through Inside Sales and Middle East Sales, ending up as Marketing Manager responsible for translations, publications and product launches. I assumed part-time work after motherhood in 1991 just before the international sales and marketing group was dismantled.

I worked for Sikkens (now Akzo Nobel) for a year as Chemistry student in the car refinishes laboratory researching the binding properties of Aluminium Alkoxides and resins. This work experience gained me an additional Diploma in Industrial Studies.
