We focus on smart social media skills, digital brand building, and encourage digital sharing and connecting for positive career outcomes.With a background in communications, marketing and branding, I have had the opportunity to work in the UK, US, Hong Kong and Australia in industries as diverse as media, financial services, travel and retail. Leadhers Program LeadUq Ventures Apr 2022 - PresentBrisbane, Queensland, AustraliaLeadHers is a leadership, career confidence and skill building program for women who are students, staff and alumni at the University of Queensland. I oversee the program course content and development, facilitation of our 5 week student programs, staff days and PhD programs, the sourcing of guest speakers, and the facilitation of guest speaker panel discussions. I manage a number of stakeholder relationships, both within the university and with industry. We work with these stakeholders to help facilitate introductions and networking for students for future career opportunities. Gen[In] Program LeadUq Ventures Jul 2019 - Sep 2022Brisbane, AustraliaAs Program Lead for gen[in] I was responsible for the successful delivery of Queensland’s first ever internationally focused student innovation challenge, gen[in].The gen[in] Innovation Challenge was funded by Trade and Investment Queensland, and lead by the University of Queensland along with a dedicated consortium of 16 members from government, tertiary institutions and industry. The program lead over 3000 students aged 14-24 through an entrepreneurial journey, providing them with the skills and opportunity to create unique ideas and businesses. My role required a wide ranging skill set, from engaging with a large number of stakeholders, overseeing the management and involvement of the consortium board, partnering with high schools and universities to deliver the program to students, facilitating entrepreneurship workshops, arranging a large scale mentoring program and event managing the final pitch event. I managed the development and roll out of the program's online content and all program administration. I was also responsible for overseeing expenditure and budget and acquittals in line with government reporting.
