Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital focused on improving the lives of kids with disabilities.As a Corporate Communications and Public Affairs intern, I had the opportunity to work creatively and collaboratively within a team setting while learning new skills. I worked on a variety of projects that ranged from marketing communications, internal communications, event planning and social media.

Toronto Inner-City Rugby Foundation (TIRF) is a rugby-centred community development organization that uses rugby as a tool for social good. TIRF, a registered non-profit founded in 2011, builds community through rugby in 31 of Toronto’s underserved, low-income and priority neighbourhoods.As a Rookie Rugby Program Coordinator, I was responsible for recruitment, facilities and vendormanagement, communications and youth engagement. I worked closely with community partners, student interns, schools and vendors to facilitate TRIF summer programs. As a Rookie Rugby Program Coordinator, I fostered positive client relations and strived to build and preserve strong relationships with all stakeholders.

In this role, I managed program database of 1700 members across the GTA and over 650 registered organizations. I participated in the growth and development of the replication of theprogram across Canada. My responsibilities included but not limited to: providing administrative and logistical program support while maintaining client relations and community engagement.

In this role, I implemented a structured approach to administrative tasks, operations and guidelines to enhanced office efficiency. I supported and coordinated day-to-day office tasks and program specific initiatives. I worked with discretion and diligence in a fast-paced office environment.
