Salman is CEO of Astrada, a unified API that provides access to real-time payment data for spend management companies. Astrada operates in the US and Europe and is backed by leading Fintech investors including Bain Capital Ventures, Nyca Partners, and QED Investors. Prior to launching Astrada, Salman was CEO of Fidel API, a real-time data platform for card linked loyalty programs, and successfully led its sale in March 2024.Previously, Salman was SVP and GM of North America at Marqeta. He joined Marqeta as the company’s first business development hire, built the go-to-market function, and rapidly grew revenue to enable the company’s eventual IPO. Before Marqeta, Salman held senior roles at Mastercard where he launched and scaled fraud and digital payment products and built partnerships with leading tech companies and fintechs. Salman started his career in management consulting, at Booz Allen Hamilton and Deloitte Consulting. He holds an M.Eng from the University of Virginia and a BS from UMBC.
