These conversations encompass a broad spectrum of participants, from stakeholders and policymakers to planners and the wider public. My ability to effectively connect with and impact these diverse audiences stems from my skill in simplifying complex scientific concepts in the realm of sustainability science and my profound understanding of the intricate interplay between Science and Society. My commitment is evident in my publication record of over 100 articles in esteemed academic journals and books. I've received 25+ prestigious fellowships and awards, internationally acknowledging the impact of my work in expanding knowledge boundaries.My work delves into the broad area of the Human-Environment-Sustainability nexus. I'm dedicated to unravelling the complex fabric of sustainability transitions, urban ecosystem services, environmental modelling, technological innovation, political ecology, climate change, and the intricate spatial representation of socio-eco-technological challenges across diverse cultures. My primary mission is pioneering transdisciplinary strategies and tools for urban nature conservation to enhance societal well-being. Furthermore, I am actively engaging in debates to conceive ESG strategies through education, outreach and awareness. This involves blending ecological principles with cutting-edge technologies like remote sensing, UAVs, GIS, and machine learning, all integrated with social science approaches to scrutinize the dynamics within urban systems.I've enjoyed a global academic journey, moving from junior researcher to Chair Professor while also consulting for industry partners. I've taken on a diverse array of projects and have led multifaceted teams, tackling a wide spectrum of scientific inquiries and real-world predicaments. My notable work includes creating methodologies for comparative case studies in regions worldwide: Europe (Austria, Germany, UK), Asia (China, Pakistan, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Iran), Latin America (Argentina, Colombia), Africa (Rwanda), and North America (Detroit, New York).
