As a dedicated and compassionate final-year student completing the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at Monash University and OSHC educator for TheirCare, I am eager to bring my skills, knowledge, and passion for patient care to any esteemed professional environment. During my academic journey, at Monash University, I have completed many clinical placements in community health settings, with both paediatrics and adult care. These experiences have honed my skills in assessing client’s needs, developing tailored treatment plans, and collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.I have a strong passion for working with children, as it stems from having the opportunity of being part of a big family. In my eyes children bring unique energy and curiosity that makes every interaction rewarding and inspiring. Witnessing their progress and knowing that I have contributed to their ability to overcome challenges and reach their full potential is immensely fulfilling, as I have previously seen from student placements, and as a OSHC educator at the moment. I am excited to leverage my years of diverse experiences in placements, employment, and volunteer work to make a meaningful impact. This has allowed me to cultivate effective communication, resilience, adaptability, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, organisational abilities, and reflective practices.Furthermore, my experiences as an Educator at TheirCare for a specialist school has equipped me with the ability to foster active inclusion and support individuals with multiple and complex needs. I believe that by supporting children in their formative years, I am helping to lay the foundation for their future success and well-being that is a strong commitment and passion for me as a future practicing OT.
