• The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) in Bethesda, Maryland, is the global daily resource and advocate for the finance profession. We serve more than 16,000 individual members in corporate treasury and financial management. • As the staff subject matter expert in the field of accounting and financial reporting, produce original AFP content for distribution through multiple association channels, including but not limited to conferences and virtual education sessions, articles for AFP Exchange and other association publications, online resource pages, research reports, and educational and training products. • Develops and produces responses to requests for comment by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and other governmental and private organizations, as well as testimony to be delivered to committees of Congress.• AFP has a large membership base in Canada. Currently, assisting members with dissemination of information and knowledge sharing for implementing IFRS in Canada.• Task force reviewer, AICPA’s pending IFRS Guide.
