I didn’t wait to receive my Political Science degree from Willamette University before having three years in Oregon politics. Being multilingual, advocacy, social justice, work in advocacy and engaging underserved communities. I come with almost ten years of experience in politics, five of which are in government relations. As a young queer diabled woman of color I have a unique background in how I approach work and problems. My own family emigrated to the U.S from the developing world. I feel with that background and my interpersonal skills I can fit well with clients from all walks of life. In this diverse growing population, we not only need skilled workers but also a culturally competent workforce. My prior work and my own upbringing has not only made me multi-lingual but also culturally competent.I have had the opportunity to hold a variety of jobs that involve project management, legislative research and analysis, public policy reporting, communication with supervisors, as well as the public and workshop/meeting facilitation. I now want to transition into gaining experience in potential career opportunities in a more hands-on way. Social justice issues are my passion in life. My work history and volunteer advocacy are a reflection upon that. The qualifications I possess were gained from my commitment to work in advocacy and engaging underserved communities. I am dependable, patient, and have a very quick learning and adaptive mind. When work is not assigned I seek things to be done. Efficiency and effectiveness go hand in hand in making an organization run at its full capacity.
