# Establishing, designing, developing and formulating polysaccharide composite microparticles which reached pre-clinical in vivo studies on Inflammatory Bowel Disease and immune cells targeting.# Gaining deep knowledge in formulation science of small and large molecules like proteins, crystallization and amorphization, particle technology, (bio)materials science & engineering, immunomodulation and advanced characterization methods.# Using yeast cells to prepare glucan microparticles and engineered composites and using spray drying for manufacturing of chitosan microspheres. # Experienced in cultivation of bacterial and mammalian cell cultures for biomaterials testing. # Experience in micro- and nanofabrication, UV-Vis, FTIR, Raman and Fluorescence spectroscopy, UV imaging, in situ UV monitoring by µDISS Profiler, HPLC, DSC, TGA, DLS, SLS, NTA, particle counting analysis, texture analysis, SEM, optical and confocal microscopy, radio-frequency heating and 3D printing.# Promoting ideas into research grant proposal with which helped to secure 400 000 EUR for 4 years. # Coordinating and supervising undergraduate students in research and students‘ laboratory projects.
