- Worked on Totoro, a key in-house platform for the Fixed Income business at Nomura. Totoro included features such as pricing of financial instruments and generation of metrics such as NPV, risk, and cash-flows. My work focused on understanding and coordinating the requirements of our client teams, building a consensus, and writing high-performance and stable code to fulfill these requirements. Some of the subsystems of Totoro that came under the scope of my work included: (a) End-of-Day Valuation and Risk System, (b) Data Feed System, (c) Automated Job Control System.- A key achievement was to increase the execution speed of valuation/risk calculation related jobs by 2X.
