Service Delivery Manager, Nst
Consulted to manage the Transition and Service Delivery Management for Deutsche Bank's (DB) Tokyo back-office (Non-Sales & Trading) for 1200+ users. The DB project began in 2010-03 with the transition from DB's incumbent team of engineers to a two-tiered Managed Services Support model, with the local team consisting of engineers from the local vendor providing service on behalf of the Project's global/APAC Partner - with myself initially as the Transition Manager, and later shifting over to the Service Deliver Manager role. This role has required liaising and creating a bridge between the Local Vendor Partner, DB Management in Japan and our APAC Partner, Getronics, in Malaysia/Singapore/UK. This was a challenging yet valuable assignment in terms of balancing the DB "culture" and expectations with the contractual requirements and scope as well as the inherent commercial limitations.6 months after transition, we were able to achieve the best quality scores as well as the best SLA in the APAC region with more Users per engineer (4 engineers to 1200+ Users). In the process of preparing the new procedures and documenting the SDM role, I formulated new reports and Team monitoring metrics to keep the Team "health" in check and I was concurrently training two Team Leads and potential SDMs to replace me when I was to eventually remove myself from the project.
