About Sammy Alvanipour, M.Ed.

I am originally a graduate of the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned my degree in Management Information Systems in 2006 before working as a Project Manager for an IT startup company in Austin. After working in that capacity for four years, I decided to follow a strong interest in working in an academic setting and secured a position with ACC, where I served as a Senior Computer Lab Support Technician for four years. To facilitate my transition into academia I pursued graduate studies at UT Austin and graduated with an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Learning Technologies.I currently serve as the Director of ERP Services for Austin Community College. During my time in this role I hope to support the College as it continues to grow (physically) in size and in the number of enterprise solutions used by its students, faculty, and staff. My goal is to support the staff who support students by developing improved workflows, automating existing workflows, and implementing upcoming enterprise systems, including Workday.
