What they sell are consistently excellent experiences that are visually appealing, emotionally resonant, functionally superior, and financially rewarding for all stakeholders: the customer, the employee, vendors and lenders. AI and the other tools of the 4th Industrial Revolution will be of key strategic importance, next to the obvious operational effects such as headcount reduction.That is why in 2024, I embarked on a year-long intensive exploration of artificial intelligence for enterprise design, culminating in insights and conclusions that I share in my newsletter "4IR/AI for heroes." This journey builds on my 12 years of consulting experience, including six years at KPMG focusing on IT audit and assurance, then digital enterprise strategy, governance, and architecture. At KPMG, I also researched the role of corporate boards in digital governance at Antwerp Management School.
