Since the idea of having a career entered my mind, I always planned on doing something with finance. As I have attended college and served a mission for my church, I have uncovered a deeper passion of mine, which is helping people. The realization of these two passions has brought me to the following path, that of becoming a Financial Advisor. In pursuit of this career, I am currently a junior at Brigham Young University – Idaho. My major is business finance with a minor in communication. Because finance is a passion of mine, I have applied the principle of self-reliance to my college career. I have had the opportunity to learn a¬¬¬nd develop new skills through work experience that has ranged from being a Team Lead in a college success course, to a Farm Hand in Hamer, ID. In addition to work opportunities, I have also participated in the Wealth Management Society here at BYU-I. Because of that, I have been introduced, albeit lightly, to software such as MoneyGuidePro, eMoney, Redtail, and Riskalyze. While new and inexperienced in the world of financial advising, with a little coaching I believe that I will become a powerful asset to those I serve.
