I provided technical direction, informal mentoring and career development● Design and maintain the SOE for users across Australia● Development of applications for the desktop environment as well and internal IT tools● Management of software licensing and Microsoft Office templatesAchievements:● Designed, deployed and migrated 4800 Australian staff from Novell to Active Directory (AD) using internally developed migration tools to automate this process● Technical lead for desktop and active directory migration for the Arthur Andersen merger across 6 states using specifically designed and developed migration tools to move 1800 staff from their Novell environment to the existing Ernst & Young Australia’s AD. This included creating AD accounts for all users, migrating PC’s to AD, reconfiguring Lotus Notes and migrating mailboxes and the rebranding of all PCs with new visual identity. In addition all data was moved from the Arthur Andersen servers to the existing Ernst & Young servers. The migration began on Friday afternoon and was completed by Monday morning● Involved in the process of reviewing RFP responses in order to select replacement notebooks and desktops. Managed the deployment of the PCs using internally designed and developed automated migration tools in order to complete the roll of approximately 5500 PCs in less than eight weeks● Deployed SMS 2003● Deployed 800 Windows Mobile 5 devices using Nokia Intellisync● Implemented Connected TLM to 5200 PC’s● Developed a tool called EYRunAs which enables elevated rights for software installations. ● Developed a tool called User Account which allows temporary administrator access by exchanging codes with the Helpdesk. All user activity is captured during this time in order to monitor changes made to the SOE. This tool is used throughout Oceania and the UK.
