At Wood, I have had the pleasure of working with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences on an array of environmental engineering projects. I have worked on a Superfund project summarizing large datasets and writing reports, and also smaller, state-level events. On the day-to-day with these teams, I have prepared presentations and reports for workgroup and client meetings, while also contributing to the Superfund-scale reports within a larger, cohesive team.As part of the geostatistics and visualization office in Madison, I have mapped and classified riverine and geomorphological bedform features, analyzed statistical and kriging spatial data of contaminant concentrations in a diversity of sites (sediment, groundwater, mining, etc.), and created complex 3D models in a variety of environments (analyzing groundwater, soil vapor, NAPL, and sediment contaminations, as well as mapping soil lithologies). I have also become proficient at many programming languages (including MATLAB, VBScript, Python) and other visualization softwares (Power BI, ArcGIS, Earth Volumetric Studio).My work at Wood has also included field work. I have classified sediment cores using the USCS classification system, co-lead multiple field events for potable drinking water sampling, and have acted as sample tracking manager for a field event.During my time in graduate school, I stayed with Wood as an on-call employee.

At Ramboll, I expanded my engineering skill set and knowledge through a variety of experiences: soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling; writing project work scopes and progress reports; analysis of data using Excel, GIS, and other computer tools; and much more. I had the opportunity to work in the field, alongside clients, and at our office in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This diversity in workplace situations and communication expanded my technical understanding of the field.I began my career at Ramboll as intern during the summer of 2017. As a consulting intern for the summer, most of my work revolved around much of the same environmental engineering practices: analyzing soil and groundwater contamination, classifying the extent and nature of the contamination, and offering potential solutions to the client.

Working with NALCO Water, my main project was monitoring evaporator efficiency at ethanol plants in Wisconsin and Illinois to implement cleaning solutions. This also involved communicating progress and options to plant managers with detailed service reports. Progress reports were written twice a month, which outlined trends in the evaporator modeling data, as well as recommendations for how to mitigate future problems. Aside from this central project, I also attended multiple sales meetings and gained knowledge of sales processes with NALCO's Wisconsin sales team. On-site repairs and analysis with other sales representatives enhanced my technical capabilities in the field of chemical engineering, as well.
