I regularly lead services and preach to a congregation of 60+ people both physically in the room and online. I lead the church's youth group and run worship assemblies at the local junior school, where I speak to 500+ children. I run a weekly club in the local secondary school alongside the Head of RS encouraging children to think about big questions in society today. I am also involved as one of the planning team for an ecumenical youth service called High Tide, which regularly attracts 60+ young people across the Portsmouth Urban Sprawl. I also work with the six other churches who together make up Horndean and Clanfield Churches Together and help to coordinate events, such as prayer breakfasts and 24/7 prayer rooms across these different churches.I am the Chair of Trustees for Horndean Baptist Church CIO, as such I am responsible, alongside the Leadership Team, for ensuring that the church operates in such a way that protects those who make use of its services and complies with the law and instructions from the Charity Commission. I was an integral part of the team that led the church's transition to a CIO ensuring limited liability for all trustees.

I work alongside children with SEND to help them to engage with the National Curriculum as far as possible. This can take place both in the classroom and outside, depending upon the needs of the child. I also work with groups of children to help them improve their understanding and develop in areas of learning that they are struggling as well as to push more able to children into Greater Depth. I work with the class team working with the Class Teacher and Class LSA to ensure that children are supported and pushed to an appropriate level.I have worked across the school demonstrating an ability to connect with children from Years 3 to 6.I have a thorough understanding of the role that I play both in keeping the school environment safe, through safeguarding training and health and safety training.I updated one of the schools key systems for Maths learning and skill assessment to increase ease of use and free up Classroom LSA time, which I did by teaching myself how to use macros in Excel and remain regularly consulted on the system. I also created a new tool to help LSAs as they complete Salford Assessments so that they save time across the year.

Working as a Minister-in-Training was the next step to becoming an accredited Baptist Minister of Religion.In this role, I regularly preached to congregations of over 150 people. I managed the small groups structure of the church, which involved creating and curating study materials for 10+ groups each containing 10 or so people, alongside providing training to small group leaders, whilst continuing to lead, and develop leaders within, my own groups. I was also involved in helping to develop a new mission statement for the church alongside the church leadership team and help the church embrace this. I also attended fortnightly leadership team meetings for which I took minutes, and occassionally presented to regarding projects that I had been tasked with by the leadership team. I was part of the safeguarding policy team for the church and was involved in the process of the church becoming GDPR compliant.

Working as an intern alongside the ministerial staff of the church to gain a greater understanding of what being a Baptist Minister entails.I helped to create IT based tools for the church to use to help manage work flow. I was involved in helping to set-up and run holiday clubs for over 70 children. I occassionally preached to a congregation of over 150 people. I regularly pastorally visited people who were too ill to attend church and shared communion with them.
