As a Site Coordinator for the YMCA, I am responsible for leading, supervising, and facilitating engaging activities for a group of teens in an after-school setting. This role involves creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where students can explore their interests, develop life skills, and participate in recreational, academic, and enrichments programs. The Site Coordinator oversees an assisant, ensures smooth daily operations, and builds positive relationships with teens, families, and their school to foster their growth and development.

During my time as an outreach educator, I traveled throughout the state of Utah delivering chemistry and physics lessons to kindergarten and 5th grade students. I used a company vehicle and performed the required upkeep of it, as well as tracking expenses for supplies and gas while on travel assignments. I would occasionally take week-long trips to visit schools and deliver presentations to students in more remote locations of Utah. I was quickly promoted to Manager of Summer Camps and After School Programs. I worked closely with the CEO and Education manager to develop a science-based curriculum that followed the Salt Lake School District science education requirements for the 3rd grade and delivered this content to 5 different Title I schools within the SLC school district to supplement education within their after school programs. I also worked closely with the CEO and Education Manager to create 8 weeks of science based Summer Camps for kids age 5-12 to be run within the museum. Each week had a different theme that focused on educational science topics and it was my responsibility to come up with the schedules, lesson plans, and work with our marketing specialist to advertise the events.

As a cook I worked closely with the head cook to plan and execute meals that promote residents' health and satisfaction. I had responsibility for following all food safety guidelines, unloading shipments, and making sure our storage rooms were up to standard by following recommended methods.
