During this period, my marketing and sales experiences in included the pre-selling of rooms in a retirement home prior to construction; qualifying and setting up appointments for sales training to major corporations; sales of software programs to users across Canada and the US; sale of corporate training programs to major corporations in Eastern Ontario.

Belleville

As Executive Director of Hospice Quinte my resonsibilities included recruiting, coordinating training and managing volunteers, managing client care, fundrasing and reporting to board of directors and promotion of Hospice Quinte to community. During my tenure client care quadrupled and our volunteer base more than tripled.

Napanee

Under a provincial government short term contract my responsibilites included introducing and setting up the Secondary School Workplace Apprenticeship Program in the three high schools in this board. Responsibilities included finding employers who would participate in the program, identifying students who would benefit from the program, recording hours and.

Newburgh, ON

A busy bulk and natural food store with a large and eclectic gift and basket selection, movie rentals and a hub of the small but vibrant community. Sold the store after 8 years in business.

Kingston, ON

In partnership with husband Neil, owned and published a monthly magazine featuring Kingston, Ontario. Responsibilities included researching for and writing articles, selling advertisements and taking photographs for the publication. We sold the magazine which is still in publication today.

Ottawa

As an early childhood educator was involved in the day to day care of preshool children for two years,first as teacher and then as Assistant Director. Then moved into the care of severely developmentally delayed children where Individual Program Planning, Behaviour Management, Physical Therapy were just some of the daily responsiblities.
