CurrentResponsible for ensuring store items are procured in accordance with authorized processes as contained in the Supply Chain Management Policy. Responsible for the establishment of max and min stock levels and lead times and maintenance thereof. Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning within the industry. Administer, manage and monitor contracts. Oversee service level agreements. Evaluate and monitor the contractors progress and performance to ensure goods and services conform to the contract requirements. Exercising remedies in compliance to policy and conditions of contract, where contractors performance is deficient. Ensure stores items are managed on a first in first out basis. Responsible for ensuring that an adequate system of internal controls is in place for the receipt of goods received. Ensure that stock items are secure and that legal and safety requirements are complied with when items are stored particularly goods of a hazardous nature. Responsible for the organization of the annual stock take, in consultation with the internal audit unit and the preparation and submission of the stock surplus/deficit report to the CFO. Responsible for the collection and safe keeping of redundant and scrap equipment/materials. Monthly reconciliations on stock items. Responsible for training staff in the logistic section to ensure the smooth running thereof. Expedite purchase orders to ensure lead times and deliveries are complied with. Conduct standby duties daily after working hours.
