I have overseen a large restructure of the Sound Design department at Pitstop. As we have grown, I have had to adapt the team to work around this, taking on the management of many projects at once, as well as always looking to add to our numbers through freelance and full-time opportunities. Notable achievements: - The leading and completion of multiple high profile projects simultaneously. - Helped oversee the recruitment and employment of multiple members of full-time staff in the team, as well as entirely managing them on projects. - Contributed to wider department and company strategies.Other responsibilities include: Helping set goals for internal projects with no budget or timelines.Keeping the big picture in mind and focusing on getting the projects done.Reviewing assets, understanding the game/project and the audio requirements.Project scoping with the senior team, working out deliverables, timelines and potential resources, then supporting the delegation of work/tasks.Arranging weekly sync meetings and meeting agendas, ensuring regular catch ups with team members for updates on progress.Arranging and leading project ‘milestone’ meetings such as: - Project reviews/playthroughs with the team - Creative team briefings for each project.Setting up and policing a central ‘task tracking’ system where action points / tasks can be added from meetings.Maintaining calendars / schedules / production timelines, updating documentation as the project progresses.Arranging client meetings and liaising with clients.With the project lead, a point of contact for the client during production: - Helping manage client expectations. - Reporting production issues or flagging out-of-scope client requests to senior members of the team. First position at Pitstop Productions. - Using listening skills to discern fixes that need to be applied to VO audio. - This included EQ, to compression and more advanced cleanup and noise removal techniques. - Referencing a script and filenames to make sure delivered files could be used correctly directly into game. - Quickly addressing feedback from clients and the post production lead. - This progressed to wider project management on certain large projects that needed the support.
